Stunner. I encounter a blossom like this and am speechless before its Creator.

I am enthralled by lilies, even though I don’t know nearly enough about which one’s which.

A rather tall Hobbit

“I’m Cap’n Harold, and I’ll be your guide for this afternoon’s tour of the Shire.”

Rotating Lenox

When I was a youngster this bridge was still in service on a side tributary of the Mississippi River at Lenox, Tennessee. Its plank flooring was often in disrepair; I remember crossing it on my bicycle and looking way down at the water below. (It was moved to its present location by a preservation-minded benefactor ~10 years ago.)

(Of course, I may be slightly misremembering its origins — I’m poking at a child’s memories in my balding head.)

The old Lenox bridge is enshrined in the Shire (my parents’ neighborhood). Approaching by boat.

A Peabody Christmas

A Peabody Christmas

Waiting for the ducks at the fountain of the Peabody Hotel, Memphis. What a lovely place, especially decorated for Christmas. Irish coffee in one hand, camera in another. Sweet.
