activeRoll within regular blog post. What happens if I include a call to Marc's activeRoll macro in a regular weblog post? Trying below . . .

Update 21-Oct-2002: Result is something of a mess as displayed in Radio's news aggregator (the JavaScript wedge code is displayed as text, for example). I assume this means activeRendered content ought to stay out of the RSS feed?

The result looked like this before I deleted the macro from this post:

U.S./Iraq stories noted recently

(Besides being stories of interest to me, this is a test of the "Post to weblog" function from Radio's outliner.)

New York Public Library online picture collection
NY Public Library picture example
"The New York Public Library has a way cool picture collection. This site contains 30,000 digitized, public-domain images from books, magazines, postcards, etc. There's a quick search on the front page. An advanced search allows you to search on different fields including title, image, and source code." [netbib weblog via Aardvark]

John Perry Barlow: Pride is "richest loam for growing evil". John Perry Barlow writes (italics mine):

I don't think that our new Emperor [Bush] is an evil man. But he has the kind of unquestioning belief in his own virtue that is the richest loam for growing evil. He is simply too weak to possess this kind of power without misusing it. And now we have removed all the Constitutional impediments that might have checked his hubris. We have thrown ourselves on the mercy of a conscience too clear to be reliable.

I find this amazingly insightful.
