Tread lightly on the things of earth

The emerging outing-the-CIA-agent and White House coverup story seems to be finally getting its legs. I revisit my reading notes from the time and catch a whiff now of returning sociological sanity. (Along with my bottomless cup o’ wishful thinking, of course.)

I explore FreeNX, the GPL implementation of NX, “an exciting new technology for remote display … that provides near local speed application responsiveness over high latency, low bandwidth links.” Result is a usable Ubuntu desktop, running on a home PC, displayed on a PowerBook screen in the hands of a travelin’ dude.

Experiment: Summer re-runs? Unseen footage? Recyclable blogging? Lacking any sounder thoughts to not-rant about, I try an experiment: publishing recent info-laden emails I’ve written in hopes they’ll help direct future Googlers to the same cool stuff I’ve been discovering and discussing, until now, just among my circle of friends.
