Baked and half-baked blogging

I originally planned to have a weblog where I post entries and a sideblog where I simply capture external links to online reading I’ve found interesting. (And of course, a photolog where I post pictures from my world.)

Prickly pear heart photoBut I notice my weblogging has gently rearranged itself more evenly into, let’s say, “Baked” and “Half-baked.” That is, this Tread lightly weblog has become home to content I’ve thought through and written more carefully, while my sideblog is catching not only links I’ve found interesting but also, in many cases, my half-baked thoughts about those links.

This elevation in importance (to me) of my sideblog motivated me to clean up its formatting and make it a presentable blog in its own right.

So if you’re reading in a browser, please venture over to the sideblog occasionally; you’ll see more there than just its “Interesting links” visible on the main weblog page. (The topmost “Interesting links” column title in the main page left sidebar is a quick link to it.)

If you’re following along in a news aggregator, consider subscribing to both feeds, the main weblog feed and the sideblog feed.

If you’re reading at all, I salute you. :-)  Thanks.
