Okay, James, you got a link, baby
James Hong begs people to link to his weblog, partly in jest, partly to address a feeling I know about, too: “The problem for the normal joe like me is that it is discouraging to continue writing a weblog that nobody reads.”
I’ve decided that even though I’m not very good at this yet — I don’t come across as very interesting when in fact I really am :-) — weblog writing is nevertheless a good discipline for me. Because someone might read it, I’m forced to think through what I’m saying. And I’m gradually accumulating some tidbits that might be useful to someone in a future Google search. Heaven knows my life is better from finding other people’s tidbits of life and know-how.
Most important, I’m learning to be real, to find my voice. Sounds like you are, too. Worth it!
