Playin’ the slots, or Blog (mis)organization
Hmmm. My original plan was to capture interesting links and the occasional triggered thought in an outside-reading sideblog. The weblog was for presenting more expanded writing of my own.
But these days, Weblog and Reading are not all that different; honestly, it’s all thoughts, reverie, and bombast. I probably should merge them … How confusing to readers is this increasingly muzzy section distinction?
Wait, I see this has been going on for a long time. I should be asking —
Why do I feel freer to write in response to something I’ve read than I do to write my own stuff, from scratch?
My hunch is that fear of conflict is a contributing factor — the ol’ Enneagram Nine thing — I’m much too comfortable kinda-sorta hiding behind someone else’s words.
Before I die I intend to initiate words and actions at least as well as I respond. Likewise, I’m determined to move toward things I love a lot more often than I move away from things I hate.
Pffft. Miles to go before I sleep.
But that’s okay.

You are probably not in the mood for blogging.
